Whether you have tight muscles, pinched nerves, tension headaches, osteoarthritis, or other neck problems, our Neck Traction devices give you portable neck pain relief, allowing tight neck muscles to relax, and taking pressure off of joints and nerves.
HOW TRACTION WORKS
Stressed or compressed discs between vertebrae, squeezed against nerves in some cases, cause much pain. Neck Traction takes pressure off of disks, and promotes proper spine alignment. Symptoms are eased during use, with the long-term aim to provide enough relief to restore normal disk functioning.
Includes ball massager or Silicone cupping to loosen neck muscles.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE MODEL
The NeckSoft Complete, Leisure, and Total Neck & Spine are available in 3-layer (regular) or 4-layer (tall) models; for most people, 3 layers provides more than enough traction force. For persons taller than 5' 10", or those whose necks measure longer than 4.5 inches from the collarbone to jaw, the 4-layer model is recommended.
Although persons with average or shorter necks do not need the 4-layer model to receive sufficient traction force, it may be preferable for those who want extra traction at their disposal regardless, or anyone unsure of size. In such cases, note that neck traction should be gentle, gradual, and full inflation likely not needed. Always pay attention to any discomfort with neck traction, and consult your doctor if in doubt.
Similarly, for our NeckSoft Basic Traction (blue models), the 5-layer model is suitable for persons with average height necks, and the 7-layer model for taller necks. Despite a shorter height, these Basic Traction models still provide traction that feels as strong as the NeckSoft Complete, Leisure, and Total Neck & Spine units, though not as comfortable or form-fitting.
MORE ABOUT HOW AIR NECK TRACTION WORKS
The NeckSoft air neck traction uses air which is slowly introduced by an inflation bulb into the collar. Air pressure around the neck builds up in a vertical direction so as to soothe and stretch the tight muscles and relieve joint pressure felt in the area of the neck. Intra-vertebral disc pressure is relieved by the elongating pull, allowing more space for the nerve roots and smoothing out knots in the neck muscles. A few minutes of use can give astonishing pain relief. Regular use helps to stave off neck problems and reduce inflammation.
HOW TO USE NECKSOFT AIR NECK TRACTION
NeckSoft Air Traction should be introduced slowly to the neck initially for 5 to 10 minutes, slowly building up
to 20 minutes, 2-3 times
each day. Caution: not
intended to be used as
a neck brace.
VARIOUS NECK CONDITIONS THAT RESPOND TO AIR TRACTION
Minor injury to the soft tissues of the neck, such as neck strain, neck sprain, spasm of the neck muscles, or inflammation of the neck joints.
Disc degeneration, where the disc (which acts as a shock absorber between the bones in the neck) breaks down and the space between the vertebrae narrows, causing further stress to the spine (includes osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis).
Conditions associated with increasing age, such as spinal stenosis.
Chronic fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, or ankylosing spondylitis.
Whiplash injury from motor vehicle accidents.

Herniated Disks -
One Cause of Neck Pain
also called slipped disks, bulging disks, ruptured disks
Wear and tear weakens or flattens the fluid-filled pads, "discs", so they push against nerves, causing distress
Traction works to relieve compression of the disk, at the same time promoting more normal curvature of the spine. Symptoms are eased. The long-term aim is to provide enough relief to restore normal disk functioning.
