Choosing the Right Size - Getting the Proper Fit for Air Neck Traction
Needless to say, length of neck and strength of traction desired, play a role in choosing.
All air traction units deliver a range of traction force, as well as a range of traction height (from the collarbone to the jawline). So your personal preference will play a part in choosing the unit that is right for you.
Most users, including the smallest, will find the Mag-3 gives them enough lift. For many, the Mag-3 will give strong neck traction even before it reaches its fully-inflated height. Larger people (whose neck rises higher from collarbone to jawline) will get more lift from a Mag-4, with the same lifting force. As a rule of thumb, people of 5 feet 10 inches or taller should give consideration to whether they need lift greater than the Mag-3 can give them.
Larger people, or those with longer necks, may require the extra extension height given by the Necksoft Mag-4. If uncertain, have someone measure the extension from your collarbone to jawbone, and compare that with the height-of-rise of the two models to get a sense of traction provided.
For your convenience, we have provided a table below, showing the maximum traction height delivered by different models, according to neck length.
Keep in mind that neck traction should be gentle, and gradual. Strongest is not necessarily best for you. Also, a person with a low or average neck rise needs only a moderate rise in the unit when fully inflated. As long as the force is lifting your head upwards, your unit is doing the traction work for you: extra inches of rise are not necessary. If in doubt, and for serious conditions, consult your doctor on the correct height for you. Always pay careful attention to any discomfort while inflating the Necksoft.

HOW DOES NECK TRACTION BY AIR WORK?
The NeckSoft air neck traction uses air which is slowly introduced by an inflation bulb into the collar. Air pressure around the neck builds up in a vertical direction so as to soothe and stretch the tight muscles and relieve joint pressure felt in the area of the neck. Intra-vertebral disc pressure is relieved by the elongating pull, allowing more space for the nerve roots and smoothing out knots in the neck muscles. A few minutes of use can give astonishing pain relief. Regular use helps to stave off neck problems by improving the supply of blood to muscles, tendons, and ligaments of the neck. The NeckSoft Mag-3/Mag-4 incorporates three strategically placed magnets which are intended to affect acupuncture points in the neck, and aid in accelerating your recovery by means of bio-magnetic exposure.
HOW TO USE THE NECK SOFT FOR BEST RESULTS
Apply the NeckSoft Air Traction comfortably around the neck with the velcro strap. The traction should be introduced slowly to the neck initially for 5 to 10 minutes, slowly building up to 20 minutes, 2-3 times each day.
Caution: Do not sleep with the Air Neck Traction. Do not use as neck brace. Do not use with acute neck strains or sprains.
